We are thrilled to announce that three of our exceptional products have been recognized with prestigious medals at the International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC). This globally recognized competition, known for its rigorous judging processes, has bestowed our Taprobane Gin and two variants of our Old Reserve Arrack - East Indiaman and Overproof Crystal - with Silver Medals, a testament to the quality and craftsmanship of our spirits.
Taprobane Gin, a unique blend of Sri Lankan arrack and gin produced in South Africa, has been awarded a Silver Medal. The judges praised its refreshing nose of citrus fruits, complemented by a spicy and floral palate, leading to a long and well-balanced finish. The award is a reflection of our commitment to creating a gin that embraces the essence of Sri Lanka and delivers a unique tasting experience.
Old Reserve East Indiaman Premium Arrack, one of our recently launched variants, was also honored with a Silver Medal. This limited-edition arrack, crafted with arrack shipped from Sri Lanka and distilled in South Africa, showcases the true spirit of the island and resonates with the cultural ethos of Sri Lanka. The judges appreciated its blend of traditional Sri Lankan flavors with a refreshing nose of citrus fruits, a spicy and floral palate, and a well-balanced finish.
Lastly, Old Reserve Overproof Crystal Premium Arrack, another of our latest additions, also earned a Silver Medal. This arrack variant, distilled to a higher proof for a more robust flavor profile, was commended for its similar refreshing nose of citrus fruits, a spicy and floral palate, and a well-balanced finish.
